AJTravel project is blowing up in Ukraine

AJTravel project becomes the most popular educational-touristic program for the Jewish community activists in Ukraine. This time representatives of the youth club from Zaporozhe have spent the weekend (18-20 March) in Kharkov.

AJTravel is a unique opportunity from FSU youth movement AJT (Active Jewish Teens) for visits to other cities (the other youth clubs), to explore the Jewish culture of the city, meeting with friends, and it is also a great opportunity to see the life of Jewish communities in other cities and learn about the successful experience of project implementation.

In order to participate in the project it is necessary to form a group of 7-10 people from the members of the youth club (AJT members), to agree on dates with the host youth club, to make AJTravel program for 3 days and send it for consideration by e-mail – ajt.jdc@gmail.com. Participants of the trip pay ONLY for their own travel fare. The others program costs undertakes AJT. That does not limit participants within one country (Let us remind that at the moment AJT operates in 5 countries: Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia)

The program of the trip included further main emphases:
– Visiting the Memorial Park and Museum of Drobitsky Yar
– Acquaintance with Beit Dan Programs
– Joint meeting of Shabbat and Awdala with members of the Jewish Youth Association
– Visit to Synagogue and tour around Kharkov
– Participation in Beit Dan “Leadership training”

Active Jewish Teens (AJT) project, created in FSU youth movement at the beginning of 2016, continues to erase borders between cities and members of youth clubs of Jewish communities. It helps to share experiences, to develop together and to improve our work significantly fast.
