Seminar for teens AJT Ural for representatives of youth clubs from Nizhny Tagil, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Izhevsk, Kazan, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Ufa, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk was held in Yekaterinburg from 18 to 20 of March. The seminar was attended by 36 participants, who came to enjoy good and productive time in communication, gain new knowledge and receive the necessary information for their project activity.
And again: new friends, a warm and friendly atmosphere, training, evening activities organized by the participants, Shabbat and Havdalah. The main innovation of the seminar became classes by Jewish educator from St. Petersburg, Sergei Mitrofanov, who spent 3 lectures on Shabbat, Art in Judaism, celebration of Purim. It was a good opportunity for young people get closer to study of Torah in an accessible and contemporary form, as well as get answers to their questions.
Development of creative thinking, feature of leaders and madrichs, teambuilding, planning, writing and presentation of projects to attract the target audience, the study of Judaica … it was all mixed up with the positive atmosphere and recreational activities in a cocktail called AJT seminar.
Also, all participants learned about the nearest plans for AJT development, innovative programs, and how to participate in international summer camps (for example Szarvas). And as shown by feedback from participants on the final day, we can come to one conclusion. There are people for whom difficulties are often become insurmountable barriers. And there are those, who see them as exciting tasks and challenges to be resolved. Most people belong to the first category. Unfortunately there are far less representatives of the second category.
Enthusiasm – is one of the rarest, but at the same time one of the most catching qualities. Such people are changing the world. This kind of people came to Active Jewish Teens seminar in Yekaterinburg. Having arrived separately participants left seminar as a single strong team of associates and friends. This is a merit of all madrichim involved in the working process.
